The Northstar Commuter Rail Project and Metro Transit have launched a Web page that allows members of the public to enter a drawing for free train rides during Northstar Commuter Rail grand opening events on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009.
Enter the drawing at this website: www.metrotransit.org/Northstar/tickets.asp or by leaving a voice mail message at 612.349.7479. More than 350 tickets will be awarded to Elk River station. A limited number of additional tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on Nov. 14 during the grand opening event. Space on the grand opening trains is limited and tickets are required to ride.

Lately a big focus for me has been Facebook. I’m busy building my first Facebook Application (you guessed it, I’m not doing this myself but outsourcing it) so I’m learning more about the tools and systems Facebook uses. I have also been using Facebook to setup an account for our church. What! Using Facebook for a church? Yupers I am. We have a youth ministry focus at our church and many if not most of the age group we are working with spend lots of time using Facebook.
But Facebook is not just for the young and not just for posting information about how your day went or playing games like Mafia Wars.
